What is the proper lifting technique?
To best lift an object from the floor or a chair you want to remember a couple things.
- Bend at your hips and knees while keeping your back as straight as possible.
- Kneel on one knee or stagger your feet if space permits.
- Pull the object as close to your body as possible before lifting. Use the strength in your legs to stand up with the object.
