What is whiplash?

Often during a motor vehicle accident the head and spine will be thrust forward and backward. This movement may result in internal structure damage. These structures may include muscle, ligaments, tendons and bones. Any violent movement of your head will often result in muscle and ligament injury; this injury is referred to as whiplash.
