Physical Therapy

Do I stretch or not?

Stretch. You want to make sure before any physical activity that muscle tissue is warmed up and stretched. When you stretch before activity it is referred to as cold stretching. Cold stretching should be done slowly and for short intervals; hold the stretches 15 - 20 seconds and repeat 5 - 8 times. After activity, when the muscles are heated up and are most limber, is when warm stretching should occur. Warm stretching also should be done slowly for longer intervals; hold the stretches 30 - 45 seconds and repeat 8 - 10 times.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

I want to thank my therapist for all the help and support with my therapy. I feel so good about myself and hope that I can continue to do my exercise and improve more. I will probably have my left knee operated on soon, so I will see you all again.
