FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation)

Baltimore Sports Rehabilitation and PT have a senior assessment specialist who conducts functional capacity evaluations for the KEY METHOD. A functional capacity evaluation objectively quantifies an individuals' current return to work parameters. The FCE determines validity and physical demand category as well as recommendations for appropriate interventions. This assessment assists the referring physician and case manager in determining the proper course of treatment and services for the injured employee.

Work Hardening vs. Conditioning

Baltimore Sports Rehabilitation and PT provides work conditioning for appropriate patients/clients. Work conditioning is an expanded physical therapy program that includes a flexibility program, functional activities, strengthening program, aquatics and cardiovascular conditioning. This program can expand to 4 hours a day 3-5 days per week. Work conditioning is different than work hardening. Work hardening simulates different occupations and can expand to 8 hours per day 5 days per week. Baltimore Sports Rehabilitation and PT does not provide work hardening services.
